Press images of Nokia's new Lumia model Nokia Lumia 929 have surfaced online amidst rumours regarding Nokia Sirius tablet and Lumia 1520 phablet. The Lumia 929 model is expected to be rolled out in the markets before the end of 2013.
The leaked images come from the Twitter account of one of the reliable sources on the net, EV Leaks, which shows the black-coloured handset's front side with Verizon branding at the top-left corner. The tweet also states that the handset will come in white colour.
Nokia Lumia 929 is also seen supporting the extra tile size in the image indicating that the handset might come with a GDR3 update and also sport a HD display similar to the rumoured Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet.
The LTE network displayed on the handset's screen on the top left corner hints that the device will come with 4G connectivity along with a front-facing camera. Since Nokia Lumia 929 is the numerical follow-up of Nokia Lumia 928, it might borrow many of its features from the existing 928 model with some upgrades.
The device also seems to carry a massive 20 megapixel Pure View camera supported by Carl Zeiss optics and flash, according to Phonearena.
The image leaked earlier, which people thought was the back panel of Nokia Lumia 1520, has been now almost confirmed as Nokia Lumia 929. The images shown recently hint that the handset's size will be smaller than Nokia's 1520 phablet and may carry a 5in display, reports WPCentral.
In related news, screenshots of the upcoming GDR3 software update for Windows handsets were spotted on a Nokia Lumia 520 model. The image seen on Lumia 520 shows the manufacturer name as "RM-914_im_india_443," which confirms the rumours of the update being tested in India.
The GDR3 update is said to support quad-core based chipsets and HD displays. The update also comes with driver mode, closing application from multi-task view and others. There has been no official word from Nokia or Windows regarding the OS update.
