On Monday (16 December 2013), Nokia launched the company's first ever phablet, Lumia 1520 in India. Now, the company is reportedly planning to release its affordable phablet sibling, Lumia 1320 along with a budget phone Lumia 525 next month.
Top senior executives of the Finnish company currently hosting the 6th Annual Strategy Sharing Summit in Goa have confirmed the launch of new handsets - Lumia 525 in January first week and Lumia 1320 later that month, in the subcontinent, reported BGR India.
Nokia's Lumia 1320 was unveiled alongside its expensive sibling, Lumia 1520 at the Nokia World event, Abu Dabhi in October. While both the devices were rumoured to debut in India earlier this week, Nokia chose to go solo with Lumia 1520 (₹46,999).
The new Lumia 1320 falls in the mid-range segment; it sports 6.0-inch with HD (720x1280p) IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 245 ppi (pixels per inch) and ships with the Windows Phone 8 OS out-of-the box.
Inside, it packs Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB), 5.0-megapixel camera (with LED flash, two-stage auto-focus and full HD video recording features), a VGA snapper on the front and 3400 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Lumia 525 is the successor of company's bestselling smartphone Lumia 520. It made its international debut last month and houses almost the same specifications as seen inside its predecessor sans a bump in RAM capacity.
Lumia 525 flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 235 ppi. It runs on the updated Windows Phone 8 OS (Lumia Black) powered by a 1GHz dual-core snapdragon processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (up to 64GB).
As of now, the official prices of Lumia 1320 and Lumia 525 are under wraps, but fans can expect the cost details to go public during their commercial release next month.
