Nokia Introduces Smart Upgrade Offer on Lumia 1020 with ₹13,500 Discount Ahead of Christmas Holidays

Following the success of pre-Diwali "Nokia Lumia Smart Upgrade" offer in late September, Finnish handset maker has now included the company's flagship 41.0-megapixel camera phone Lumia 1020 in buy back scheme ahead of Christmas holidays.

Nokia is reportedly offering close to ₹13,500 discount to prospective buyers who are ready to exchange their old smartphones with the Lumia 1020 (₹49,999), at a reduced price of ₹36,499.

It is to be noted that the company is offering rebate on the MRP rather than on the current market rate, which is at least two to three thousand bucks less than the price offered by the online and the brick-and-mortar stores. Hence, readers are advised to enquire about the finer details with the local phone retailers nearby.   

With the announcement, Nokia's exchange offer now covers almost all the Windows Phone 8 OS powered Lumia phones in the market sans Lumia 920.

Nokia has listed the smartphones eligible for the Lumia 1020 buy-back scheme - BlackBerry Q10, Z10, Samsung Galaxy S1/S2/S3/S4, Note 1 & 2, Galaxy Grand, Quattro, Galaxy Core, Sony Xperia Z, ZR, ZL, Z1, C, M, SP, HTC One, One X, Butterfly, 8X, 8S, Desire 500, Micromax Canvas HD, Canvas 4, Apple iPhone 3G/ 3GS/ 4/4S, LG Google Nexus 4, Lenovo K900 and even Nokia handsets - Lumia 625/820/920/925 are also part of the deal.
