Nokia is expected to announce its camera-centric Nokia EOS Windows smartphone in its upcoming event. Newly leaked information indicates that the device will be officially called 'Lumia 1020'.
The leak came from twitter account @evleaks, which is well-known for nearly accurate predictions of Nokia's future products.
"EOS = Nokia Lumia 1020," tweeted @evleaks on 25.
A couple of leaked images in the past indicate that the Nokia Lumia 1020 will look similar to the current flagship Lumia 928, but with a much bigger camera module and an aluminum body casing.
The leaked image showed the camera lens, LED flash on the back SIM-card slot and USB port on the top. It also had a big hole on the back, which is perhaps reserved for large camera lens similar to that of Nokia 808 PureView camera.
The Lumia 1020 is expected to come with an optical zoom lens along with mechanical shutter. The device is rumoured to feature a 4.5-inch HD+ display with OLED screen at 768X1280 pixel resolution, a powerful dual-core processor, LTE connectivity, 32GB of internal memory and will run on Windows Phone 8 operating system.
Recently, the Finnish smartphone maker had sent out press invites for its upcoming event scheduled on 11 July. The invitations which carried the tagline "Zoom Rrinvnted" indicate that the firm might launch the much-awaited camera-centric Nokia EOS smartphone.
