Finnish handset maker, Nokia on Monday officially released the metal clad Lumia 925 with new Glance Screen feature in Germany for €469 (around ₹36,600) excluding tax and will hit the stores in other European countries and China, followed by US and other global markets.
Nokia also announced that the Lumia 925 will come with the Glance Screen (Beta version) feature which enables users to have a quick access at time and battery level of the smartphone.
The new feature also reduces time to unlock the smartphone screen with just a double tap on the screen and users can also switch on the night mode to lighten the glare while operating the smartphone in the dark.
As of now, the beta version of Glance Screen will only be available in the new Lumia 925. The company claimed that the complete version would be released along with the upcoming Lumia Amber software update to other Windows Phone 8 OS based devices.
Nokia Lumia 925 sports a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA screen with 1280x768p display resolutions and runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory.
The new smartphone packs a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor powered by 2000 mAh battery which can be energized wireless on the charging pad.
One striking feature of Lumia 925 is its 8.7-megapixel PureView camera with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens having OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), auto-focus, dual-LED flash support and 1.2-megapixel wide-angle camera with HD 1280x960p resolution on the front side.
To enrich the photography experience, Nokia has upgraded the Smart Camera feature with more photo editing options.
The Lumia 925 is expected to hit Indian stores soon as the new smartphone is already been listed by Nokia India as 'Coming Soon' on its website.
