Nokia has expanded its budget Asha series handsets in India with the launch of Asha 503, which has been in the queue to enter India's lucrative market since its launch in October 2013.
Asha 503 which made its global debut along with Nokia Asha 500 and Asha 502 last year, is now seen listed on the Nokia's official India website with a price tag of ₹6683.The phone was launched at an official price of ₹6,799 earlier. The Nokia handset is going for sale on the e-retailer Infibeam.com website at ₹6,550. The company website has listed the Asha 503 in black, red, and yellow colours, whereas at Infibeam the Asha 503 is available in black, cyan, green, red, white and yellow.
Nokia Asha 503 sports 3-inch QVGA (240x320) resolution display and is protected by Corning Gorilla glass and runs on Asha platform 1.2. Other features include 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 128 MB RAM with 32 GB expandable memory and packs an 1110mAh battery, which claims to deliver up to 12 hours of talk time and up to 480 hours of standby time.
The phone supports AAC LC, AAC LTP, AAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, HE-AAC v2, M4A, MIDI, Mobile XMF, MP3, MP4, WAV, 3GPP formats (H.263), H.264/AVC, MPEG-4 formats and comes with the connectivity features 3G, 2G, Bluetooth and WiFi. The dual sim handset measures 102.6 x 60.6 x 12.7 mm thick and 111.4 gm weight.
