HMD Global Oy, the official brand licensee of the Nokia brand is hosting product launch event in China on January 19, 2018, and now, two unreleased Nokia devices have received the certification from state-run telecom agency.
Nokia devices bearing model number TA-1042 and TA-1054, understood to be the Nokia 9 and the Nokia 6 (2018), respectively have passed 3C aka CCC (Compulsory Certification of China), thereby getting one step closer for the official launch next month.
It has to be noted that HMD Global Oy January 19 event marks the one-year anniversary of the Nokia 6 global debut and in all probability will announce its successor and also unveil flagship Nokia 9, to get a headstart over established players such as Samsung and LG, who too are planning to launch their products in the first quarter but in February.
Nokia 9: What we know so far
As per reports, Nokia 9 is tipped to come with a near-zero bezel display having dual-curved screen cascading to the edge and join at the middle of the frame. It is said to boast either 5.5-inch or 5.7-inch super AMOLED display screen having QHD (2K: 2560x1440p) resolution and feature additional 3D glass shield on the top and also on the metal-clad shell on the back, as well.
To further improve the durability, it will come with IP68 water-and-dust-resistant certification, meaning device owners can take it out for a dip in the swimming pool (freshwater, not sea) and take pictures or make/answer calls for 30 minutes up to five feet underwater.
HMD Global Oy, which has already confirmed its collaboration with Carl Zeiss for camera lens, in its future Nokia phones is expected to incorporate state-of-the-art photography technology in the Nokia 9.
Word on the street is that it will house 13 MP dual-Lens primary camera with Carl-Zeiss optics on the back. On the front, it is said to have a standard 13MP snapper.
Under the hood, Nokia 9 is expected to have Snapdragon 835 octa-core, Qualcomm's most powerful processor to date and come paired with 6GB/8GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and a 3,000+ mAh battery.
As far as security is concerned, Nokia 9 is expected to have fingerprint scanner at the back and also the front-camera is said to be paired with advanced sensors to work as Iris scanner.
Nokia 6 (2018): All you need to know
Nokia 6 (2018) is said to come with FullView screen having 18:9 aspect ratio and come packed with Android Oreo powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660/630 octa-core CPU, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB and a full day's battery.
Nokia 6 series is expected to come with dual-camera sensor having dual-sight Bothie effect. But don't mistake it for the Bokeh blur effect.
It allows users to record videos and take images simultaneously from the front and the back via Dual-Sight mode.
The device owners can also live-stream front-back videos with split-screen on Facebook.
