Last week, HMD Global-made Nokia 6, 5, 3 and the iconic Nokia 3310 (2017) were put up for pre-order in select European regions. Now, devices' release details pertaining to the Indian market has been revealed.

All the four new Nokia-branded phones are said to hit stores in India in June, India Today reported citing reliable company sources.

International Business Times, India Edition reached out to our own sources. We have been told that the launch date has not been finalised yet, but will happen soon.

In a related development, HMD Global is confirmed to make all Nokia-branded devices including the new Nokia 6, 5, 3 and the iconic Nokia 3310 (2017) sold in India will be locally manufactured. It is expected to be assembled at old Nokia plant in the southern city of Chennai.

With this make in India initiative, the cost of Nokia phones will be much less compared to global rates, as the company will get custom duty exemptions and also other tax breaks, thus allowing HMD Global to pass on the benefits to consumers.
