Among the latest entrants to the 18:9 display club, Nokia is expected to bring the new aspect ratio with the yet-to-be-announced Nokia 6 (2018). That the handset has now been spotted at TENAA, and might not be far from its launch, which may happen next month.
Nokia 6 (2018) was recently spotted bearing the model number TA-1054 and has received TENAA certification already, but we were so far not lucky enough to get a first look at the phone.
TENAA has now updated the listing along with images of the much-awaited mid-range smartphone.
From what we can see in the images above, the front of Nokia 6 (2018) looks identical to the current generation Nokia 6. But, as with most other 18:9 display-sporting phones, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone to make way for the taller screen.
The capacitive keys present on the bottom bezel of the original Nokia 6 are also absent on the new design.
Apart from that, the front looks very similar to the current Nokia 6, complete with the curved edges and the Nokia badging on the top right of the phone.
The back retains the vertical single-piece camera-and-lens module seen on the current model. The only difference here is the presence of a circular fingerprint scanner just below it.
The sides too, seem to have remain untouched.
Nokia's parent company HMD Global Oy is expected to unveil Nokia 6 (2018) in January in China, followed by a release for other markets in the later part of 2018.
