Microsoft has launched Nokia 230 Dual SIM, a low-cost smartphone, in India at Rs 3,949, and it is available now in stores across the country.
The company launched Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM at $55 (excluding taxes) in November last year and said they would be available in India, Asia, and the Middle East from December 2015 before being launched in other markets.
Nokia 230 Dual SIM has now been released in India, but Microsoft hasn't mentioned the other model, Nokia 230.
"Amidst the burgeoning market for touch-enabled smartphones, there was a latent need in the market for a premium-quality non-touch phone with enhanced features," Ravi Kunwar, Director- North, Microsoft Mobile Devices, said in a statement.
"The Nokia 230 Dual SIM has been designed to deliver on that need in the market. The device offers a premium feature phone experience to users, both in terms of build and design of the device, as well as usage," he added.
Nokia 230 Dual SIM has a metallic body, sports a 2.8-inch QVGA display with 230x320p resolution, measures 124.6×53.3×10.9mm, weighs 91.8g, and comes in silver and dark silver colours. It also supports FM Radio, MP3, video player, micro-USB, 3.5mm AV connector, and Bluetooth 3.0.
Under the hood, Nokia 230 Dual SIM has Nokia Series 30+ OS, 2MP front-and-back cameras with LED flash, memory card support of up to 32GB, and a 1,200mAH battery with 23 hours of talk time and up to 22 days of stand-by time.
