The company also claims that the phone can also play music and videos for 51 hours and 13.7 hours respectively and enable net-browsing for 7.5 hours.
Priced just under ₹3,400, the phone houses a 2.0-megapixel camera with fixed focus, 2 x digital zoom, f/2.8 aperture, QVGA (320x240p) video recording capability. Another notable feature is the splash-and-dust proof keyboard capable of withstanding daily wear and tear.
The feature-rich Nokia 225 dual SIM is targeted towards budget conscious and first-time phone buyers, which form the big-chunk of the India's burgeoning population. It has been made available across India starting today (4 June) for ₹3,329.
In related news, Microsoft Devices is reportedly unveiling the new Nokia X2 Android smartphone later this month.
BGR India, citing reliable sources has claimed that the American company is all set to launch the second generation Nokia X Android smartphone around June fourth week.
The website has also gotten hold of the Nokia X2 (codename RM-1003) shipment details. According to the document, devices (most probably test models) arrived in Bangalore (India) from China back in February and considering the three month gap between February and June, the trialing process is understood to have been completed and it is just a matter of few weeks before Microsoft makes the Nokia X2 official.
The new Nokia X2 is said to sport a 4.3-inch WVGA (800x480) display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 series dual-core CPU backed by Adreno 305 graphics engine, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage and also house 5.0-megapixel main camera and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper in the front. It is expected to run on the tweaked version of Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS.
