It's only been a few days since Finnish handset maker Nokia globally unveiled the new budget 3G based Nokia 208 feature phone. Now, the device has been spotted on the company's official India website.
During the unveiling, the company had confirmed that the 208 will be made available for €52 (around ₹4,000) with shipments expected to start during Q3, 2013. Keeping to its promise, Nokia India has updated its official website with Nokia 208 (dual-SIM) as 'Coming Soon', hinting at its imminent launch in the country.
However, its sibling Nokia 207 which was also unveiled along with Nokia 208 earlier this week has not been listed on the website yet.
Nokia 208 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA (320x240p) display with pixel density of 166 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the Nokia Series 40 interface with 64MB RAM and 256 inbuilt memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
The feature phone also boasts of a 1.3-megapixel fixed focus camera having 3X digital zoom on the rear side. And to enrich the photography experience, it comes with camera options such as Panorama, sequential shot mode as well as voice guides that allows users to take self portraits.
Nokia 208 also boasts of an amazingly long battery life close to 33 days during standby mode. Another striking fact about the feature phone is the 3.5G connectivity which allows users to stream videos from YouTube as well as stay connected with friends on social platforms - Facebook and Twitter.
Another Nokia device which is highly anticipated in the country is Lumia 925. This metal-clad phone which was unveiled on 14 May is yet to make its debut. As per recent reports, Nokia India has listed Lumia 925 as 'Coming Soon', but the details regarding the price and the actual date of release are still under wraps.
