Finnish mobile maker Nokia is yet to confirm the official launch of its Nokia 114 dual-SIM phone. But the device has already appeared on the company's India website, triggering reports that the device will soon make its way to the market earlier than speculated.
Nokia 114 is a dual-SIM budget phone which will come with swappable SIM cards capability. The device hosts a look similar to recently launched Nokia 109 and sports a 65K colour display with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. It houses a VGA camera with QCIF video recording. The handset is an entry-level mobile phone from Nokia and is a Series 40 listed device.
The phone weighs 80 grams and packs a 1,080mAh removable battery that is expected to give a talk time of 10.5 hours on 2G network. Nokia also claims 2G standby time of 367 hours which is 20 percent less than that of the Nokia 109. On the connectivity front the device supports Bluetooth 2.1. Despite the phone being listed, the website has not commented on its availability and price details.
Nokia had recently unveiled dual-SIM Asha 205 and Asha 206 budget phones in India. Asha 205 sports a 2.4-inch screen with a 320 x 240 resolution and runs on S40. It packs 64 MB storage onboard and a 0.3-megapixel camera. In comparison, Asha 206 comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA screen and features a 1.3-megapixel camera.
Nokia witnessed low smartphone sales in the third quarter this fiscal year. Seeking to regain its market share, the company has bolstered mobile phone sales by 19.2 percent. Nokia's newly launched products are expected to take this figure higher.
