Shah Rukh Khan's reported cameo in Salman Khan's "Sultan" has got everyone talking about it. However, a source rubbished the news calling it a "rumour."
"Shah Rukh Khan is not making an appearance in Sultan. Why should he? Do you think it would make sense to waste such an opportunity to bring them together?," he asked. Further, he denied the possibility of the stars promoting each other's films, reported the Deccan Chronicle.
"There was a talk that not only would Salman and Shah Rukh come together for Eid with Sultan and Raees, respectively, they would also be promoting one another's films. Not true. Salman has not promoted Shah Rukh's film Fan in any way. Though the trailer of Salman's Sultan is attached to Shah Rukh's Fan there is unlikely to be any more mutual promotion between the two stars," the insider further added.
But the stars have been sharing posters and teasers of each other's films – "Raees" and "Sultan" – on Twitter. Doesn't that count for promotion?
Directors have often said how SRK and Salman are too big to come together for a film but apparently those may no longer be valid. Sajid Nadiadwala is planning to return to direction ("Kick" was his last film) with a project that stars these two actors.
Going by their packed calendars for this year and possibly the next, it is highly unlikely that Sajid's film will roll anytime soon. SRK begins Aanand L Rai and Imtiaz Ali's film after "Raees" hits theatres; Salman has Kabir Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi's films lined up.
