With the assembly elections approaching early next year, speculations were rife that south star Mahesh Babu would be entering politics. It was rumoured that the actor would support the YSR Congress Party.
Setting the record straight on these rumours, the actor said that he would never join politics and is very happy working in films. The "Dookudu" actor also told reporters that he would not enter Bollywood, after inaugurating a private hospital in Vijayawada.
"Please do not write just for the sake of it. I am neither going to Bollywood nor joining politics," said Mahesh Babu, according to a leading daily.
He also added that he wanted to continue in the Tollywood film industry for the next 10 years.
The actor also said that he doesn't want to remake his father's films for fear of ruining them. Mahesh, who was last seen in the multi-starrer, blockbuster film "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", said he is open to doing such films if a director comes up with a suitable storyline.
The actor is currently working in director Sukumar's "One - Nenokkadine". The teaser of the film, which was released on the occasion of superstar Krishna's birthday on 31 May, has received massive response from film buffs. Till date (6 June), the video uploaded on Youtube has been viewed by 861,902 times.
The 32-second video looks promising with Mahesh Babu seen in a rockstar avatar. "One - Nenokkadine" is said to be a psychological thriller. Mahesh will reportedly be seen sporting three different get-ups in the flick.
The actor is elated about the response that the teaser received. "Overwhelmed with the response of the 1st look and teaser of our film 1," the actor tweeted earlier. "Thankyou so much for your love and support as always :)," he said.
"One - Nenokkadine" team is all set to move to London this week for a major shooting schedule. The film will have debutant Kriti Sanon playing the female lead. The other cast members include Sayaji Shinde, Kelly Dorji, Vikram Singh and Srinivasa Reddy.
