After a thrilling Episode 16, "Sands, Agent of Morra," on Feb. 23, CBS will not air any new episode of "Limitless" this week. The network has announced that it will not be airing Season 1 Episode 17, "Close Encounters," as per its schedule on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. The fans can now look forward to watching the next episode on March 8, 2016.
The previous episode was all about Sands and his personal life. In Episode 16, "Sands, Agents of Morra," we saw that Brian discovered the dangerous and shocking past of Sands. Until now, we only knew that Sands worked for Senator Edward Morra, but in the previous episode we learnt more about his personal life when he unexpectedly appeared at Brian's door all injured for a night-long mission to rescue his son.
Now, CBS has released plot synopsis for the upcoming episode and going by that it looks like Brian and Rebecca will be working on a case together where they will be exposed to some unknown substance and that Brian will get caught using his share of NZT.
Plot synopsis of "Close Encounters" (via TV.com) reads: "Brian and Rebecca are placed under quarantine together after they are exposed to an unknown substance during an investigation into a citywide blackout. Already feeling too close for comfort, trust issues arise when Brian is caught using his stash of NZT."
