Summer finale of "The Fosters" season 3 was aired on last Monday, 17 August, and with it, the ABC series is going to its mid-season finale. Episode 10 had seen Callie finally getting adopted by Steph and Lena after three long seasons. In the coming episodes of the season, which will be aired in early 2016, the new Jesus will make his debut.
The season 3 summer finale dealt with two heart-breaks, one featuring Brandon (David Lambert) and Callie (Maia Mitchell) and the other dealing with Jude (Hayden Byerly) and Connor (Gavin MacIntosh).
In "Idyllwild", Brandon and Callie had sex thinking that Callie does not have any chances of getting adopted. However, Callie did get adopted and now Brandon is her foster brother. As she admitted to the judge, that relationship is over.
After Callie's adoption was finalised, her brother Jude told his boyfriend Connor that he supported the latter's decision to move to Los Angeles and be with his mother. Connor made the decision after his father caught Jude and him shirtless, making out. Although his father is trying to be accepting of the relationship, he is still a little homophobic, and Connor wants to be in a place where he is fully accepted.
Although Jude did not want to see his boyfriend move so far away, he understood Connor's reasons and admitted to being in love with him. Connor replied with his own "I love you", before tearfully hugging him.
However, this does not mean it is the end of "Jonnor". In fact, it has been confirmed that they will try and make their relationship work long distance. Meanwhile, his foster brother Jesus will make a comeback after the accident in season 2 finale, when the series returns in 2016. However, the role will be taken over by Noah Centineo instead of Jake T Austin.
