For the first time ever in "Legends of Tomorrow," Kendra (Ciara Renée) got a chance to closely interact with the man who has been killing her in every life for many centuries. However, the close encounter and subsequent defeat of Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) was undermined by the fact that the ship left the 1980s leaving Ray (Brandon Routh), Kendra and Sarah (Caity Lotz) behind.
While Ray and Kendra were enjoying a private moment and Sarah was saying her goodbyes to the lovely nurse she had befriended at the hospital, bounty hunter Chronos (Steven Blum) tracked the ship down yet again. This left Rip (Arthur Darvill) no choice but to take off with the teammates he could protect and leave the trio behind.
From the promo for the upcoming "Left Behind," it seems they will be stranded in 1950s' Oregon for a couple of years. How they bide their time there will be shown a couple of weeks later, as "Legends of Tomorrow" has gone on a short break. Season 1 epioside 9 "Left Behind" will therefore be aired Thursday, March 31, 2016.

It looks like the legends left stranded in their past will be bored out of their minds but will use their special skills and talents to survive in the foreign land and time. However, considering her talent is assassination, Sarah returns to the League of Assassins which is currently led by Matt Nable's version of Ra's al Ghul. Her old lover Nyssa (Katrina Law) has not been born yet.
Meanwhile, Ray and Kendra continue living as a couple and it looks like Ray may even become a professor. Being left behind may actually work in their favour, because it they were fighting Savage regularly on the ship, Ray and Kendra would not have got much time to bond. Now, however, they are living as a married couple, allowing them to get to know each other better.
