There is drama, tension and mystery surrounding CBS' legal drama's last few episodes. However, fans will have to wait for another week to watch the latest instalment, Season 7 Episode 17 of "The Good Wife," titled "Shoot."
Last week's episode, rather aptly titled "Hearing," gave viewers a clue about why Peter Florrick (Chris Noth) was asked to appear before a grand jury. After sneaking in on their conversation through the bathroom vent, Eli (Alan Cumming) spoke to Cary (Matt Czuchry) about a possible case involving the State and Lock. According to a Vulture article, Peter could perhaps be tried for acquitting a defendant in return for massive fundraiser donations. However, this remains to be seen.
The biggest shock of Episode 16 came towards the end, when Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) told Alicia that their firm needs an identity and an edge. She suggested that they buy Cary Agos' share. This obviously put Alicia (Julianna Marguiles) in a quandary so she sought the advice of friend, Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo), who asked her to speak to Cary about it. The two are friends, after all.
When the next episode airs, fans of the show can expect to find tension within the four walls of Cary, Agos and Lee. This may not be the only problem Alicia will be concerned with. She will be asked to help Peter when "The Good Wife" returns.
"The Good Wife" Season 7 Episode 17 airs Sunday, March 20 at 9 p.m. on CBS. You can watch the past episodes online via CBS All Access.
