After airing Season 2 Episode 24 last Friday, 13 November, Disney's "Girl Meets World" has gone on a month-long break. "Girl Meets Belief", which was the last episode to be aired before the break, seemed a little out of place, specifically with relation to Farkle.
In the episode Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis) was seem in his flamboyant attire, which he had shed for a more blacker -- and honestly, more stylish -- wardrobe in Season 2 Episode 12, "Girl Meets Yearbook".
The romantic tension between Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Riley (Rowan Blanchard) was also evidently absent in this episode. Even Zay Babineaux (Amir Mitchell Townes), Lucas's friend from Texas, who moved to John Quincy Adams Middle School, was also noticeably absent in the gang.
Despite the fact that "Girl Meets Belief" did not take her any further in the Maya/Lucas/Riley storyline, it was still a very entertaining episode, which taught a lesson that is very relevant in today's world. Cory (Ben Savage) taught his students that they should all learn to accept the other's beliefs and ideas, especially in the context of religion and God.
Sadly though, the fans will have to wait until Friday, 4 December, for a new episode of "Girl Meets World", and as the title "Girl Meets the New Year" suggests, it will focus on impending New Year celebrations. Following that, the show will again go on a month-long hiatus, before airing the two-episode special on 8 January, 2016.
Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that due to a dip in ratings, "Girl Meets World" may not be renewed for Season 3. However, it is to be noted that the dip was only marked for last week's episode, which, as explained earlier, was not played in order. There is still hope for Season 3, seeing as we are still a couple of episodes away from Season 2 finale.
