The CW will not be airing a new episode of The Flash this Tuesday. Season 3 episode 6 of the superhero series will be back next week with the episode Shade that will see Wally having dreams about being Kid Flash.
The previous episode saw Caitlyn reaching out to her scientist mother Carla to help develop her superhuman abilities. The mother-daughter duo do not have a warm relationship, but they took the step towards making things better after a zealous assistant tried to hold Caitlyn hostage. Elsewhere in the episode, viewers saw why Julian hated metahumans, but his opinion of them is changed when the Flash prevents him from accidentally shooting a child.
Meanwhile, next week's episode will see Alchemy attempting to use Wally's desire to be Kid Flash in a terrifying way.
"[Alchemy's] the biggest, scariest presence we've had on the show," Grant Gustin, who plays Flash, told IGN. "There's something about Alchemy that we've never had. He's not a speedster, so he's just going to come in at everybody from different angles, using tactics that we haven't seen yet. He's scarier for a lot of psychological reasons, that others haven't had."
The synopsis for Shade reads: When Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) starts having dreams about being Kid Flash, Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes he has to tell Wally, Iris (Candice Patton) and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) about what happened to Wally in Flashpoint in order to keep him safe.
