In episode 21, we saw, BAU reconnected with serial killer Antonina Slade and questioned her about the case of two missing boys. The serial killer made several spine-chilling, alarming, shocking and frightening comments, but the most disturbing was the one she made to Dr Reid at the end of the episode, and it was her warning, "There is a storm coming."
Going by episode 22 title, "The Storm," it looks like the previous episode has set grounds for the finale next week. The network has released a promo and synopsis for "The Storm," and it teases that the sequence of events will take off from where it ended last week.
The synopsis teases that Hotch will be in big trouble in the finale, after getting arrested by the SWAT team. It is speculated that Hotch gets arrested because of some allegations of conspiring, and the BAU will try their best to rescue him as they suspect that someone is trying to play them up.
The promo of the upcoming episode gives fans a sneak peek into the sequence of events to occur in the finale. It shows how Slade wants to take down Hotch.
Plot synopsis for "The Storm" (via TV Guide) reads: "Season 11 ends with Hotch being apprehended by a SWAT team for suspicion of conspiracy. The BAU members scramble to prove his innocence and suspect a larger plot is on the horizon."
