The next episode of "Chicago Med", titled "Bound", won't air before next week. However, it seems there are already some interesting incidents about to happen in the episode, including the honouring of Dr Rhodes' father after he donates a hefty sum to the hospital.
As mentioned in the synopsis by TV.com, dark family secrets emerge when Dr Rhodes' father is honoured for making a large donation to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security arrives when two injured airplane stowaways are brought to the hospital, and Dr Sarah Reese must deliver heartbreaking news to a boy.
Though it is not confirmed, it seems "Bound" will be the second part of the crossover story between "Chicago Med" and "Chicago Fire", as both shows involve Homeland Security agents in their upcoming episodes.
Though Dr Rhodes is admired by all the staff of hospital, there are some who are envious of his generosity, and now after his father's donation, some tension will undoubtedly build among them. Besides, Dr Rhodes will also come to know of certain dark secrets of his family.
Dr Reese is trying her best to act casual and let the boy know about the results of his checkup. However, much to her dismay, she is finding it rather hard to break the news, as the kid reminds her strongly of her own son.
In the previous episode, titled "Malignant", Hermann's condition took a dramatic turn when Dr Rhodes performed emergency surgery on him.
Kelly Severide from "Chicago Fire" and Dr Rhodes clashed when it came to Hermann's treatment.
Meanwhile, Dr Choi, Dr. Charles and Detective Jay Halstead investigated a woman from a Firehouse 51 call who was admitted after a possible suicide attempt.
It was later revealed that the woman was receiving high doses of chemotherapy for cancer she does not have. Also, April's brother had his first day as a resident and took credit for Dr Reese's work.
"Bound" will air on NBC on 19 January.
