The official release date of "No Man's Sky," the upcoming adventure survival video game from developer Hello Games, has been revealed. "No Man's Sky" is slated to be released on June 21, 2016, for PS4.
The release date nullifies a recent "accidental" leak via PlayStation blog listing that had said the game might be coming out on June 4. The leak had also said that the game could be priced at $60 and pre-orders will begin from March 3, 2016.
"We've been a little quiet since we showed the game last year at E3, and it's because we've been heads down and hard at work on development. It's been a hectic but really exciting time for the team. Finishing a game is incredibly hard but lovely to watch as the pieces fall into place," said Sean Murray, managing director, Hello Games on the official blog post.
"No Man's Sky" will allow players to trade with others, explore the vast environment and survive the computer-generated universe.
Murray mentions in the blog that the company allowed some people from the press to play the game. He boasts of showing them some alien races that the players will be able to communicate.
He also announced a limited edition of the game which will be inclusive of the video gaem, a stealbook case, 48 page art book, exclusive comic, starter kit and dynamic PS4 theme.
This science-fiction game allows players to explore "infinite universe where you will discover unique never-before-seen planets and lifeforms," according to the official website. The decisions players make in-game will affect the outcome, as each action has a consequence.
