There are no big Telugu releases in the month of December, except for a few films of well-known stars including Nag Chaitanya's "Auto Nagar Surya", Nani's "Paisa" and the Telugu version of Aamir Khan's "Dhoom 3."
The focus has now shifted to January 2014, when the most-awaited films of big stars are hitting the screens.
Here is list of films that are likely to release in January
1-Nenokkadine
Mahesh Babu's "1-Nenokkadine" is one of the highly-anticipated films of 2014. The film is all set to hit the screens during Sankranti festival period.
Buzz is that "1-Nenokkadine" might release on 10 January. However, an official confirmation on the film's release date is yet to be revealed.
Directed by Sukumar, the Mahesh Babu starrer is deemed as a stylish action thriller. The film will have Kriti Sanon playing the female lead, whereas other cast members include Nassar, Anu Hasan, Sayaji Shinde, Pradeep Rawat, Kelly Dorji and Posani Krishna Murali.
Mahesh Babu's son Gautham Krishna will be making his debut playing the role of young Mahesh in the film.
"1-Nenokkadine" is produced under 14 Reels Entertainment banner. Latest reports claim that renowned Bollywood production house Eros International has bagged the theatrical and satellite rights of the film for a whopping amount.
The film's music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Yevadu
The release of Ram Charan's "Yevadu" has been delayed for the last few months. The film was expected to hit the screens on 19 December.
Latest reports suggest that the film will arrive for Sankranti. The exact release date is yet to be confirmed.
"Yevadu", directed by Vamsi Paidipally, is a commercial entertainer. The film has Shruti Haasan playing the female lead, while Amy Jackson appears as the other heroine. Allu Arjun and Kajal Aggarwal make special appearances. The other cast members include Sai Kumar, Rahul Dev, Brahmanandam and Jayasudha.
The film is produced by Dil Raju and its music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.
Heart Attack
After two back-to-back successful films - "Ishq" and "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde"- Nithiin is back with another romantic film.
Directed by Puri Jagannadh, "Heart Attack" has Adah Sharma as the female lead. The film is expected to release during Sankranti or by the end of January.
It is produced by director Puri and music is composed by Anoop Rubens.
Janda Pai Kapiraju
Nani starrer "Janda Pai Kapiraju" will reportedly be hitting screens in January. The action-thriller film features Amala Paul as the female lead.
The film is likely to be released on 31 January. It is produced by K.S. Sreenivasan and its music is composed by G.V. Prakash.
The Tamil version of the film is being shot simultaneously. The film titled "Nimirndhu Nil" has "Jayam" Ravi reprising Nani's role.
Besides these films, Mohan Babu's "Paandavulu Paandavulu Thummeda", Nayanthara's "Anamika", Nikhil Siddharth's "Karthikeya" are the other Telugu projects that are expected to release in January.
