The release date of Vineeth Sreenivasan's much-awaited family entertainer "Jacobinte Swargarajyam" (JSR) has been announced. The Nivin Pauly starrer will hit theatres April 8 in Kerala.

While Renji Panicker plays the titular role Jacob Zachariah, young superstar Nivin Pauly will be seen as his son Jerry Jacob in the movie, which narrates the tale of a Dubai-based family that also includes Lekshmi Ramakrishnan as Sherly, Sreenath Bhasi as Abin, Aima Rosmy Sebastian as Ammu and Stacen as Chris.

Reba John, who rose to fame with the Malayalam reality show "Midukki" on Mazhavil Manorama, will be seen as Nivin's character's love interest Chippy. Ashwin Kumar, Sai Kumar, TG Ravi, Dinesh Prabhakar and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the flick in which actor Aju Varghese's twin children Juana and Evan make their debut.

The songs and trailer of "JSR" have already raised the audience's expectations from the movie. The film is being produced by Noble Babu Thomas under the banner of Big Bang Entertainments.

"JSR" is the fourth directorial venture of Vineeth, who has established himself as a successful filmmaker, writer, actor and singer in Mollywood within a span of nine years. The upcoming family entertainer is Vineeth's fourth association with Nivin, who made his acting debut in the filmmaker's debut directorial "Malarvadi Arts Club" in 2010. "JSR" is one of the most-anticipated flicks this year as the previous movies of the duo, including "Thattathin Marayathu" and "Oru Vadakkan Selfie," were box office hits in India and abroad.
