After "Neram" and "Aviyal," Nivin Pauly of "Premam" fame is all set to return to Kollywood with an untitled film to be directed by Gautham, a former associate of filmmaker Mysskin. He is likely to romance Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who has recently worked with superstar Mammootty, in the upcoming Tamil flick, reports the Times of India.
The buzz is that Varalaxmi Sarathkumar met the director recently and they discussed about the project. She has reportedly liked the story, but the actress is yet to sign the dotted line.
"Though she liked the script, everything is in the premature stage. Nothing is official yet. She just completed the shoot of her Malayalam film with Mammootty, and will soon decide on her next project," the daily quoted the source as saying.
The upcoming movie is said to be a remake of critically-acclaimed Kannada movie "Ulidavaru Kandanthe." The movie was written and directed by Rakshit Shetty, who also played an important role in the film. Kishore, Tara, Sheethal Shetty, Rishab Shetty, Achyuth Kumar and Yagna Shetty were seen in important roles.
The makers have plans to simultaneously shoot the film in Tamil and Malayalam languages.
Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly's "Jacobinte Swargarajyam," which was released last week, has opened to positive reviews and done good business at the Mollywood box office. The film, directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, has Renji Panicker and Lakshmy Ramakrishnan in the key roles.
On the other hand, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is getting ready for the release of her long-delayed movie "Madha Gaja Raja," which will be out on April 29. Her other project is "Nibunan."
