The young sensation Nivin Pauly has joined hands with director Abrid Shine for his next venture. Abrid has previously directed Nivin in his flick "1983". The news of duos next project has now created a lot of buzz as their last attempt is one of the major hits of 2014.
Nivin will don the role of a police officer and the film is said to be a police story blended well with music and humour. The film is titled as "Action Hero Biju" and the shooting is expected to kick start by November.
"I wanted to do an action film and when I discussed it with Nivin, the idea to do a police story came up. Most of our actors have played cops at least four or five times in their career and Nivin expressed an interest to do such a film with me. The first police role in every hero's career is special and I will try to present him in a different look in this movie. The subject excited us; the police always have a million stories to say. All the actors will attend a camp prior to the shoot". Abrid told The Times of India
The director is now busy in the pre-production phase of the film and it is said to have many characters, which will give the actors immense scope to perform.
"The title, 'Action Hero Biju', stems from my interest in narrating a common man's story. Biju is an extremely common and secular name in Kerala and I felt it has cuteness about it. My film tells the story of a common man who becomes a brave cop, and I felt the title is a perfect fit," added the director.
Abrid's "1983" was one of the career defining roles for Nivin Pauly. The film was a sports drama fiction, which revolved around a cricket enthusiast, Rameshan (Nivin Pauly), and the memories of his life during the 30 years spanning from 1983 World Cup to 2013. The film which was released in January 2014, was well received by critics and audiences alike.
