It looks like Japanese car-maker Nissan will roll out the facelifted avatar of Terrano in India soon. Terrano, in its facelifted form, is also expected to come equipped with automated manual transmission (AMT).
A report of Autocar India says that Nissan is likely to launch the Terrano facelift soon. The changes in the Terrano facelift is likely to be limited to cosmetic upgrades such as restyled front fascia with new bumpers and grille. There could be minor changes in the cabin of Terrano as well and Nissan is also expected to include new features such as touchscreen infotainment system.
As far as the engine is concerned, while the SUV will continue to be powered by the same 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines, there will be an addition of AMT box. Terrano is likely to get the same s-speed Easy-R unit as Duster in the new avatar.
Currently, the petrol Terrano churns out 102bhp and 145Nm of torque, while the diesel comes in two states of tune — 84bhp/200Nm and 108bhp/248Nm. Terrano is now offered in four variants in India— the petrol (XL), XE diesel 85hp, XL Plus diesel 85hp and 110hp XV Premium after removing the 85hp diesel XL, 110hp diesel XL and 110hp diesel XV trims from the list recently.
Nissan is also expected to launch its iconic supercar, GT-R in the country soon. The bookings for GT-R are already open for a down-payment of Rs 25 lakh and the first consignment of the model has also arrived in India. Nissan is expected to price GT-R at around Rs 2 crore.
