Nissan's much-anticipated compact SUV, Terrano is all set to take the roads in India on 20 August.
The company, which had released the official sketches of the much-anticipated compact SUV Terrano a month ago, announced that the vehicle will be unveiled in India on 20 August in Mumbai.
The new crossover Terrano is based on the Renault Duster platform and will come in both petrol and diesel engine options. While the car petrol version comes with the 1.6-litre engine which delivers 104PS, the 1.5 turbodiesels churns out 110PS. The earlier revealed pictures showed the rear styling of the Terrano, which looks different from Duster.
Other changes were seen on the reflector which is now placed on the lower bumper, and the tail lamps are seen split with half the tail lights placed on the backdoor. The front grille and headlights of the vehicle also sport new looks. Previous reports suggested that the new Terrano would not pack many changes in terms of the interiors of the vehicle. Nissan's upcoming SUV will be pitted against the newly launched Ford EcoSport .
"You can see from the sketch that Terrano has a bold and distinctive design that I am confident will appeal to our growing customer base in India, as will its driving performance and range of other features that will be revealed at a later date," said President and CEO of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, Kenichiro Yomura .
