Japanese carmaker Nissan has announced the launch of the automated manual transmission (AMT) avatar of the Terrano SUV in India. The Terrano AMT has been priced starting at Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Terrano AMT, what the company calls the Terrano 6 speed advanced auto drive, is already open for bookings in the country for a downpayment of Rs 25,000. Available in the top-of-the-line XVD Premium Terrano, the SUV is now also comes in the new Sandstone Brown body paint in addition to the existing colour line-uu pf Brozne Grey, Sapphire Black, Blade Silver, Sterling Grey, Pearl White and Fire Red.
The AMT avatar of the Terrano comes powered by 1.5-litre diesel engine, which is tuned to generate 108bhp of power and 248Nm of torque, mated to all-new 6-Speed Advanced AMT (Automated Manual Transmission). The Terrano AMT claims to offer a mileage of 19.61kmpl.
It gets new signature chrome grille of the company at the front, electrically adjustable and retractable outside rear view mirror (ORVMs) with turn indicators, silver finished door handle, R16 machined alloy wheels and roof rails.
Inside the cabin, the Terrano houses dual tone beige and black interior with leather seat upholster, leather wrapped steering wheel, 3-dial instrument cluster and chrome insert on gearshift. Other features in the SUV include keyless entry, power and tilt steering, adjustable front and rear seat headrest, 2-Din audio with USB, AUX and Bluetooth and safety features such as driver and passenger airbags, ABS with EBD, rear defogger and reverse parking sensors.
