Japanese auto-maker Nissan has launched the refreshed avatar of its Micra hatchback in India with new Sunshine Orange exterior colour. Apart from the new exterior colour option, it gets an all-black interior. The hatchback with automatic transmission has been priced at Rs. 5.99 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
"The affordable and accessible Micra offers a charming visual appeal with its new Sunshine Orange exterior colour complemented by the edgy, European-style all-black interior. These new options come without any price increase. We're confident this package will resonate with Indian customers," said Arun Malhotra, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd.
The Micra range is also available in five more exterior shades including Brick Red, Turquoise Blue, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Nightshade and Storm White. The new Micra includes a black central console with piano black finish, black door trims, and black seat fabric with blue stitching.
Micra is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is now offered only with CVT gearbox. Both petrol and diesel models are offered in two variants: XL, XL (O) for diesel, and XL CVT and XV CVT for petrol.
Under the hood, Micra gets a 1.2 litre 3-cylinder, DOHC petrol mill and a 1.5 litre, 4-cylinder, 8-valve SOHC diesel unit. While the petrol mill is tuned to churn out 75bhp of power, the diesel one generates 62bhp of power.
The new colour scheme is also available on Micra Active. The Micra Active variants will feature a black instrument panel cluster and finisher, black seat fabric and a silver-colour door arm rest finisher.
The new Micra will be available at all 232 Nissan India showrooms across the country.
