Though one of the six accused in the Nirbhaya gang-rape case committed suicide in March 2013, while in custody in Tihar jail, his ghost continues to haunt residents of Sant Ravi Dass Camp, where he and three other accused used to live.
The 8X6 sq feet house where Ram Singh once lived, has now become a haunted house.
The belief got strengthened after Ram Singh's parents locked the empty house few months ago to settle down in their native town in Rajasthan.
Such is the fear among locals now that neither kids are allowed to play anywhere near his house nor women go to the terrace of his house to dry clothes, according to Hindustan Times report.
If Ram Singh's death has left that kind of an impact, the other accused, Mukesh Singh has angered his ex-neighbours by his chauvinistic remarks in the documentary film "India's Daughter", instead of showing remorse for his alleged involvement in the heinous crime.
In the film, which is based on the December 2012 gang-rape, Mukesh Singh has blamed the 23-year-old victim for the incident.
Residents of the locality felt highly offended by his remarks.
"We have daughters too who work night shifts at the airport. Should we stop them from travelling at night because Mukesh and his brother are allowed to rape them? He should be hanged without any delay. We believe that a man who can make such a statement must have been equally involved that night," a woman said.
