After a lot of speculations and confusions, actress Nikki Galrani has finally confirmed her part in the Suresh Gopi-starrer, "Rudrasimhasanam".
Earlier it was said the actress had opted out of the movie as she thought that she is too young to play the role of Suresh Gopi's wife. And recently, rumours were also making rounds that Kaniha had replaced her in the upcoming movie. However, Nikki's confirmation has finally cleared the buzz.
Nikki will play the character of Haimavathi opposite Suresh Gopi in the movie. The actress, who made her debut in Malayalam in "1983", later went on to do noticeable films like "Ohm Shanthi Oshaana" and "Vellimoonga".
She is awaiting release of "Ivan Maryadharaman" opposite Dileep and "Enthoru Bhagyam" opposite Unni Mukundan. She has also committed to a film with Vineeth Sreenivasan, titled "Oru Second Class Yathra".
As per reports, "Rudhrasimhasanam" will also have Shweta Menon, Sudheer Karamana and Nedumudi Venu in important roles. It is expected to go on floors by January in Ottapalam.
The film is directed by Shibu Gangadharan, who made his debut with 2014 Mammootty movie "Praise the Lord". The script is penned by Sunil Parameshwaran, who had earlier scripted Santhosh Sivan's much-acclaimed "Anandabhadram".
Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi had three releases this year including "Salaam Kashmier", "Apothecary" and "The Dolphins". Though "Salaam Kashmier" failed to make a mark at the box office, "Apothecary" and "The Dolphins" were appreciated for the actor's impeccable performance.
He is currently shooting for "My God" along with Honey Rose. The story revolves around the 15-year-old son of a rich planter, whose life is burdened with plenty of expectations from his parents as well as the society.
