NIIT, the IT training and development solutions company, has opened a new facility in Bergen, Norway to scale up its capability to deliver training solutions in multiple languages near shore and drive growth in Europe.
With this, the company now has three centres in Europe, the other two are at Dublin and London.
The India-headquartered company serves over 30 clients in Europe and provides localization and multi-lingual delivery capability in 25 languages including French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch and Norwegian.
Overall, it has a presence in 40 countries where it offers training and development solutions to individuals, companies and institutions.
Devenderjit Chadha, senior VP, Learning Delivery, NIIT said the Bergen center will bring the company closer to clients in the Nordic region.
"As a national center for higher education and finance, Bergen is a city of choice for us. With the establishment of this office in Bergen, we are reaffirming our commitment to not just our customers headquartered in Scandinavian countries but also across Europe," he said.
The company's CEO, Rahul Patwardhan, said the foray is crucial to NIIT's plan to deliver "superior services to European clients."

The company had earned a net profit of Rs 20.80 crore during the second quarter ended 30 September, 2015, up 100% from Rs 10.30 crore during the corresponding period last year.
Its 2015 second quarter revenues were Rs 272.50 crore, marginally up from Rs 260.40 crore, y-o-y.
The NIIT stock closed at Rs 100.25 on the BSE, up 2% from its previous close.
