Nicki Minaj's Latest Single 'Only' Tops List of SoundCloud Trending Music

American rapper Nicki Minaj's latest single 'Only', which released online on 28 November, has topped the list of 10 hit songs on SoundCloud Trending Music.

'Only' is the third single from Nicki Minaj's upcoming album "The Pinkprint". Produced by Dr Luke, the track features the rap vocals from hip hop artists Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown. The music video of the song has been directed by Hannah Lux Davis and was premiered on December 12. It features Wayne and Drake alongside Minaj.

This much-hyped single has garnered positive reviews from critics. Carolyn Menyes from Music Times said, "With a cool sense of confidence and rhymes that boast of her own sexual and rapping prowess, Minaj is taking the reins, leading into the equally vulgar and explosive rap verses from Drake and Wayne".

Brennan Carley from Spin said, "'Only' is Nicki at her dirtiest and smartest, rapping with metaphors that'd fly over other rappers' heads while keeping the glint of a knowing wink always in her eye."

Miles Raymer from Entertainment Weekly and Chris Coplan from Consequence Of Sound also lauded the efforts of Nicki Minaj and others' efforts. Drew Millard from Noisey said, "Minaj continues to rap laps around the competition and there's no indication that that's going to change any time soon".

In its opening week, "Only" debuted at number 6 on the Digital Songs chart with its sale crossing 76,000 digital downloads. It landed in 54^th place on the Billboard Hot 100 and went up to 27^th position on the chart in the later weeks. The single has sold 302,167 units in the United States in two weeks of its release.
