It is no secret that "Bachelorette" stars Nick Viall and Shawn Booth have no love lost between them. Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that Viall, who first appeared on Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette", thinks Booth is a bad influence on his fiancée Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Viall joined season 11 of "The Bachelorette" in its fourth week as one of the finalists on the show. But Bristowe ditched him to be with Booth and the two even got engaged on the show.
During one of their press tours, the newly engaged couple poked fun at Viall for throwing away his ring following his elimination, saying it was a funny reaction.
"I thought it was kind of funny," said Bristowe.
Boother added: "I thought it was funny – a weak toss, but that was expected. I would have gone overhand, he would go underhand."
And now, Viall has responded to the comment calling it "disappointing."
"You would hope that Kaitlyn would rub off on Shawn more than Shawn would rub off on Kaitlyn," he told Life & Style, reported Radar Online. "But it seems like it might be more the latter."
He also criticised the way Bristowe acted during the "After the Final Rose" segment saying she lacked sincerity.
"My hope was that she would say, I wish I hadn't handled it the way I did… And for that I am sorry,'" Viall explained to Life & Style about how he wanted Bristowe to respond after ditching him.
Instead, she rolled her eyes when Viall confronted her about stringing him alone. "I think it showed a lack of sincerity on her part," Viall said, adding, "I don't anticipate us being in each others lives."
In an earlier interview, Booth had also said that he does not see himself hanging out with Viall and drinking beer. However, he said he was ready to put their animosity behind them.
