Priyanka Chopra may have been keeping it private and refusing to discuss her rumoured engagement with beau Nick Jonas, but it looks like the latter was very open-hearted when a fan congratulated the 25-year-old singer on his engagement.
"Thanks, man," Jonas graciously responded to the fan at a recent launch event of his new perfume in the US, according to an eyewitness quoted by US Weekly.
Jonas and Chopra were supposed to attend the event together but the latter couldn't make it as she is currently busy shooting for Shonali Bose's upcoming directorial venture The Sky Is Pink alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.
However, the Quantico star made up for her absence by congratulating her fiancé by posting a picture of the cologne bottle on August 9. It is being said that Chopra and Jonas got engaged on July 27 and the couple was seen sporting matching rings when they were spotted by the paparazzi.
While Jonas is quite forthcoming, Chopra is somewhat having inhibitions talking about her engagement. She was recently caught hiding her engagement ring as soon as she saw the shutterbugs clicking her pictures. She refused to speak about her engagement at a recent event in Delhi. Even her mother Madhu Chopra has been keeping tight-lipped about it.
"My entire life — my personal life — is not for public consumption. Ninety percent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 percent is for me. I'm a girl; I have the right to keep that to myself," she had said on August 6.
"My family, my friendships and my relationships are things I don't think I need to defend or explain to anyone. I am not running for office, so I don't think I need to give explanations ... Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I get annoyed. Mostly, I tell my publicists, 'Let it be. Today's news is tomorrow's trash,'" she added.
After Chopra's exit from Salman Khan starrer Bharat, director Ali Abbas Zafar had hinted at the actress' engagement while bidding adieu to her and wished her loads of love and luck for her future projects.
