Google's upcoming flagship smartphone dubbed as Nexus 6 will take on Samsung Galaxy S5, besides Apple's iPhone 6 in the smartphone market when it is released this fall.
The much-awaited device is expected to be released in October, while Samsung Galaxy S5 has already hit the stores a few months ago. Google is mum on the launch of Nexus 6 till date but Sundar Pichai, VP at Google, said at the Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) that the device would be announced in October.
Nexus 6 may give Samsung Galaxy S5 a run for its money when it is launched, as it is expected to come with latest features with reasonable price tag.
Galaxy S5 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels (432 ppi pixel density), while Nexus 6 has a 5.2-inch full HD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and have 1080x1920 pixels resolution. Samsung's device is powered by Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 and run on Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS while Google's smartphone will run on Android L and might have either a Quad-core MT6732 64-bit chip that clocked at 1.5GHz, or the octa-core MT6752 SoC running at a frequency of 2.0GHz, according to G4Games.
It is not sure whether Nexus 6 will have a 20MP camera with HDR mode or a 13MP camera , while Galaxy S5 has a 16 MP with 5312 x 2988 pixels, phase detection autofocus, and LED flash. Samsung's device come packed with 16/32 GB internal memory, 2 GB RAM and Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery, while Nexus 6 may boast of 32 GB internal memory, 3GB RAM and a 3100 mAh Li-Polymer battery.

Nexus is also expected to come with several new features, including a curved LCD display and a lightweight, polycarbonate body. Reports suggested that it may also boast of Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and micro-USB connectivity slot.
