Google Inc. hasn't announced the release date of its upcoming device dubbed as the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X but tipsters have leaked details of the device to the media. Now, it's been reported that it might have a display bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus.
According to a report by 9to5Google website, the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X will have a 5.92-inch display with QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 (498 ppi), contradicting earlier reports that it might sport a 5.5-inch screen. The screen size of the device will be bigger than that of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 if the report turns true.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560x1440) Super AMOLED display with 515 ppi (pixels density) resolution, and has a 16MP rear camera with auto focus and Optical Image Stabilizer, and a 3.7MP front camera with f1.9. It is powered by 2.7 GHz Quad-Core Processor /1.9 GHz Octa-Core (1.9GHz Quad + 1.3GHz Quad-Core) processor, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), comes packed with 32 GB internal memory and 3GB RAM with micro SD slot up to 128GB, and houses a Li-ion 3,220mAh battery.
The iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5- inch LED-backlit IPS screen with Retina HD (aka full HD) and 1920x1080p resolution with pixel density of 401 ppi (pixels per inch). It is powered by 20-nanometer class based second generation 64-bit A8 chipset, run on iOS v8.0 and comes packed with 16GB/64GB/128GB storage. The device has 8MP iSight camera with 1.5µ pixels, f/2.2 aperture, True-Tone flash, hybrid IR filter, five-element lens and a 1.2-megapixel FaceTime camera with f/2.2 aperture, auto-HDR, and 720p HD video recording. It has battery with talk time up to 24 hours (3G) and standby time close to 16 days (384 hours).
On the other hand, 9to5Google reported that the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X may have a 5.92-inch display, powered by Snapdragon 805 processor and run on Android L. It is expected to come packed with 32 GB internal memory and 3GB of RAM, have a 13 MP main camera and a 2 MP front snapper, a 3,200 mAh battery and come with design similar to the 2nd generation Moto X. The website didn't even rule out Google launching two models of the device like Apple did to its iPhone 6.
Meanwhile, Antutu benchmark claimed that the device might sport a 5.2-inch screen with 1440x2560p resolution (565 ppi pixel density), powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with CPU speed close to 2.5GHz, come packed with 3GB RAM and 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front snapper. However, G4Games website reported that the device might be powered by either Quad-core MT6732 64-bit chip that clocked at 1.5GHz, or the octa-core MT6752 SoC running at a frequency of 2.0GHz.
It is also reported that the Nexus 6 aka Nexus X will run on Android L, house a 3100 mAh Li-Polymer battery and come with several interesting features, including a curved LCD display and a lightweight, polycarbonate body.
Google is expected to release its much-hyped device by the end of this month though it is not confirmed. Inferse website claimed in a report that the next-generation smartphone would be unveiled on 31 October. However, the search giant hasn't uttered a word on the launch of its device after its Vice president Sundar Pichai said at the Mobile World Congress 2014 (MWC 2014) that the new device would be announced in October.
