Razer-owned Nextbit has rolled out the latest Android Nougat update to its flagship cloud-smartphone Robin.
The company had previously released Android Nougat 7.0 to Nextbit Robin in March, and now it has deployed v7.1.1 to the device with Google's May security patch.

What's coming in Android 7.1.1 Nougat update?
In addition to May security update, its comes with enhanced power saving mode, improves background management, new user-interface features including app shortcuts, circular launcher icons, enhanced Live Wallpaper, profession theme-based Emojis, GIFs sharing on messages, and image keyboard support among others.

If you have received OTA (Over-The-Air) notification message for this update:
1. Select "Yes, I'm in."
2. After the software is downloaded, select "Install now."
3. After the software is installed, your phone will re-start automatically.
4. Your phone is now updated.
Since the OTA roll-out process is being carried out in phases, it will take several weeks to reach all the corners of the world.
Until then, device owners can check for updates manually by going to Settings >> About Phone >> System Updates >> check for the new firmware.
If you to upgrade your device to the Android 7.1.1 immediately, then you can try flashing the software on your Nextbit Robin.
Here's how to side-load Nougat v7.1.1 factory image to Android phone:
Firstly download Android 7.1.1 Nougat to any preferred folder on your PC: HERE
For Windows PC users
Step 1: Plug your Robin into your PC
Step 2: Boot your Robin into Fastboot mode (Power + Volume Down)
Step 3: Type fastboot -i 0x2c3f oem unlock-go and press Enter and let your phone reboot fully and go back to fastboot mode
Step 4: Open a command window in the directory containing the image files (With the folder open, press Shift + Right click)
Step 5: Type flash-all.bat and press Enter
Step 6: Your phone will flash all the necessary files and reboot
For Apple Mac users
Step 1: Plug your Robin into your Mac
Step 2: Boot your Robin into Fastboot mode (Power + Volume Down)
Step 3: Type fastboot oem unlock-go and press Enter and let your phone reboot fully and go back to fastboot mode
Step 4: Open Terminal and navigate to the directory containing the image files
Step 5: Type ./flash-all.sh and press Return
Step 6: Your phone will flash all the necessary files and reboot
