New generation Toyota Innova's will be unveiled for the global audience in Indonesia in November. Ahead of the premiere the brochure of the new Innova leaked online.
The pictures published by Indonesian website autonetmagz.com indicate the new Innova does justice to the many renderings floated around internet previously. Though the brochure is Indonesia-specific, most of the information is also applicable for India-spec audience.
Toyota has made a bold effort to change the design of its best seller in new Innova. The front fascia get a big hexagonal grille with two thick chrome slats on the top that blend into the headlamps. The dual projector headlamps also integrated with LED daytime-running lamps. The pictures of the interior in the brochure suggest new Fortuner inspired dashboard. The dashboard gets a dual-tone theme with the upper part in black and lower portion in beige.
The pictures of the brochure indicates Q variant which will be the new top-of-the-line variant. The top spec variant is followed by V and G trims.
The base trim will come with tilt and telescopic steering, multimedia system with a seven-inch screen with USB, AUX, SD card, voice command, headlamp halogen and cooling glove box as standard.
The mid-variant V gets eight-inch screen that enables internet browsing, HDMI connectivity, Bluetooth and voice command. The multi-information display comes with TFT display and immobilizer. The mid-variant also gets illumination LED fitted on the roof.
The top of the line Q variant will boast of projector lens headlamps with LED lights and emergency brake signal in the rear lights. This trim comes with smart key, a total of seven airbags, vehicle stability control (VSC) and hill assist control (HAC).
The new Innova in Indonesia will be sold in both petrol and diesel engines with a choice of five-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox. The GD 2.4-litre diesel engine replaces the old KD 2.5litre engine. The new engine develops 147bhp and 359Nm of torque mated to manual gearbox. The diesel engine is also available with automatic transmission will have slightly lesser torque of 342.2Nm while power remains the same. The in-line four-cylinder 2000cc petrol engine will develop 137bhp and 183Nm of torque available in manual and automatic transmissions.
