Japanese auto maker Honda's next gen Brio is expected to make its India debut in 2017. If the recent reports are to be believed, the new avatar of Honda Brio might a get a different name to shed the current image.
A report of Auto Car India says that in the next iteration of Honda Brio, the hatchback from the Japanese maker that has been a part of the Indian roads for the last four years could also get a diesel engine.
The car will also continue with its four cylinder, 1.2-litre i-Vtec petrol engine mated to 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine of Honda Brio is likely to be 1.1 litre, 3-cylinder motor.
As for styling, the new Brio is likely to get upmarket interiors along with the change in its glass hatch. According to the report, Honda Brio is likely to lose its quirky rear styling and is likely to get a conventional tail-light unit.
