Chevrolet's new Beat is already out on the Indian roads for testing and the car has been spied quite a few times. A fresh batch of spy shots of the new generation Beat has now emerged online, this time with the interior shots of the model.
The images of Chevrolet's new Beat come from Autosblog and Motor Beam. Although we have seen the images of the new Beat earlier, this time the India-spec model spied on test have something new to reveal. Chevrolet seems to have equipped the new Beat with Touchscreen system. From the images, it can also be seen that there is dual tone interiors on offer.
The new Beat, which will be based on the current Beat's M300 platform, is likely to come with interior and exterior updates. The new gen Beat is expected to get newly styled front and rear bumpers.
Coming to the engine bit, the hatchback in its new avatar is likely to get 1-litre, three-cylinder petrol mill. The new petrol unit is the downsized version of the 1.4 Ecotec motor. Currently, the Beat petrol is powered by a 1199cc four-cylinder unit that develops 77bhp at 6200rpm and 106.5Nm of torque, while the diesel model is 936cc three-cylinder engine that develops 56bhp at 4000rpm and 124.5Nm of torque at 1750rpm. Both the engines are mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
