Toyota is busy testing its new generation Innova MPV in the country and the car was snapped dozens of times already. Now, once again, the next generation Innova has been caught on camera, this time, showing the LED daytime running lights.
The latest one is a YouTube video, uploaded by a user named Sanjay Rao. It is not clear where the car was videotaped, but it is assumed that the latest one is also from Karnataka, where the company has one of its manufacturing facilities.
In the video, the most intriguing thing is the LED daytime running lights, which are seen on the new Innova. However, nothing much has changed from the previous spy shots. The car is seen still wearing the same camouflage, thus hiding all the key changes from the eyes of auto enthusiasts.
Scheduled to make its global debut sometimes in 2015 and to reach Indian shores in 2016, the new generation Innova looks quite similar to the existing version. However, the car is likely to get a new front fascia with rectangular grille and also a minor tweak in the rear end profile.
The previous spy shots have also indicated that the Toyota engineers have worked to give improved cabin space for the upcoming Innova.
Under the hood, the Innova will pack the same engine of the existing model, maybe with a minor tweak to give out better power. There have also been rumours that the car could also get a new Toyota diesel engine with both manual and automatic transmissions.
Though nothing is official yet, it is said that the new Innova will fall in the price range of ₹9-₹15 lakh. When launched, the 2016 Innova will rival Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia in India.
