Toyota will reportedly launch its next generation Innova next year, according to a new report.
We already know that Toyota Innova, a MPV, which has garnered lots of attention across the world is getting ready to receive a makeover in India and other markets.
Toyota, which has started testing the new avatar of Innova in India and Thailand is reportedly planning to launch the car globally in 2015, says a new IndianAutoblogs report. In India, the car is expected to reach by 2016.
So far, the company has revealed only a little information about its next generation Innova, but the car was caught on camera numerous times, giving us a few hints on what to expect.
From the spy shots we have seen so far, the new generation Innova is expected to get some changes both inside and outside.
New Innova will be based on a new platform called Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) and outside, the car is likely to boast a new front fascia with rectangular grille.
Nothing is revealed about the engine specifications of the car, but it is likely that the new generation Innova will get the power from the same motor, which does the duty in the current model, but with a tweak in the engine.
There have also been rumours that the 2016 Innova will get Automatic Transmission.
Once the new Innova hits the market, the car will be pitted against the newly launched Honda Mobilio, Chevrolet Enjoy and Nissan Evalia in India and is likely to fall in the price brackets of ₹15 lakh.
Meanwhile, in India, Toyota recently launched the limited edition of Etios sedan.
The Etios Xclusive, a car based on the G grade of the current line up features Bluetooth Audio system, front full-chrome grille, new chrome garnish on the tail lamp, headlamp, ORVM and a limited edition - Xclusive badge.
The petrol model of the new Etios Xclusive is priced at ₹5, 98,140 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the diesel model comes with a price tag of ₹7, 10,240 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
