The much awaited New York Fashion Week is about 12 days away and it has already got us quite excited. While there are numerous fabulous brands and designers to look forward to, there was something else too that caught our fancy.
Just a few days ago, we had reported that reality star and former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner might be making a runway debut at the fashion week. It was being said that she would showcase the designs of Riccardo Tisci, the creative director of Givenchy.
The news didn't really come as a surprise considering Tisci has been vocal about his support for the LGBTQ community and is also one of the favourite designers of Caitlyn's step daughter and reality star Kim Kardashian. The Italian designer is close friends with Kardashian and had even designed her wedding gown when she tied the knot with rapper Kanye West in 2014.
However, turns out Caitlyn will not be appearing at the New York Fashion Week and all the previous reports were mere speculations. A rep for the star exclusively told Gossip Cop that Caitlyn will not be walking the ramp for Givenchy or for anyone else for the matter, and also added that she was never in "talks" for any appearance.
The Life & Style report, which first spoke about Caitlyn being in talks for fashion week, had also quoted a source saying that she is deliberating on the debut and that "she feels a huge responsibility to the transgender community and is a little nervous about the backlash she could get by doing a fashion show."
Well, now it looks like we'll see only one Jenner scorching the runway during the New York Fashion Week and that is Kendall. The model/reality star is a well known face in the fashion industry and has walked the runway for numerous big names. And this time too we can't wait to see the leggy lass strutting her stuff at NYFW, which begins on 10 September and goes on till 17 September.
