It's been less than a week since Xiaomi president Lin Bin released a couple of photo samples taken by the soon-to-be released Mi5.
Now, the company global operation head Hugo Barra has posted three impressive Xiaomi Mi5 shots from Brazil.
Barra's photos are taken straight-out-of-camera (SOOC) with HDR (High Dynamic Range) mode on. In the first picture, we see the crown of a palm plant taken from top. In the second photo, we see a cropped version with Zoom feature highlighting the green-hued lanceolate-shaped leaflets of the plant. It's clarity is impressive with no hint of blur in the image and probably Barra is hinting that the Mi5 may boast "Optical Zoom" feature seen in the recently released Asus Zenfone Zoom. However, this is just a speculation based on the images.
Nothing is set in stone to believe that the Mi5 will indeed come with "Optical Zoom" and the details will be known on Feb. 24 when the device is launched.
That being said, going by the series of photos released by the company executives, Xiaomi Mi5's main USP might be its camera.
Rumour has it that the upcoming Xiaomi phone will boast 16MP camera with dual-LED flash, PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and laser autofocus.
And on the front, it is expected to house a 13MP snapper with wide-angle photo taking ability.
