After Freedom 251, another cheap smartphone is readying for launch in India later this week.
ChampOne C1 sports a 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and comes with fingerprint sensor, MediaTek quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage, 8MP primary camera, a 5MP snapper on the front and a 2,500mAh battery.
The rookie smartphone-maker ChampOne India has promised to give away the ChampOne C1 for just Rs. 501 via flash sale, which is scheduled to take off on Sept. 2. This apparently raised suspicion among public over the authenticity of the company's claim. It's overly generous offer reminded a few of Noida-based Ringing Bells' marketing stunt for Freedom 251 launch, earlier in the year.
Up on closer inspection of the official website, we got to know that the company's Rs. 501 offer on ChampOne C1 is applicable only the first flash sale and later the device will be sold for Rs. 7,999.
Probably due to huge demand, the registration page of the ChampOne C1 crashed on Sunday and it is still under repair. It will reportedly be back online in 24 hours. We advice our readers to tread carefully before making the purchase.
