"Veeram", deemed as a commercial entertainer, is directed by "Siruthai" Siva. The film set in a rural backdrop revolves around Ajith and his four brothers played by Vidarth, Bala, Suhail and Munish. Tamannah plays the female lead for Thala (Ajith is referred in this name by his fans). The other cast members include Pradeep Rawat, Nassar, Santhanam, Ramesh Khanna, Abhinaya, Devadarshini and Vidyullekha Raman.
The first teaser of "Veeram", which was released on 7 November, received good response from fans. The second teaser released on Thursday (5 December) is all expected to impress the viewers.
"Veeram" is gearing up for a massive release on 10 January 2014. The film's shooting has been completed and post-production work is in full swing.
Its pre-release business is progressing at a brisk pace. The film's distribution rights for Chennai and NSC areas (North Arcot, South Arcot and Chengalpet) have been acquired by Ramanarayanan of Thenandal Films. The rights for other areas in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka are expected to be finalised soon.
Expectations are high for the Ajith starrer, thanks to the actor's star power. Ajith enjoys a massive fan following and his fans will definitely ensure that his film gets a good opening.
The actor's last release "Arrambam" turned out to be a blockbuster. "Veeram" is also expected to do well at the box office. However, the action entertainer will face strong competition from Vijay's "Jilla" which is also gearing up for Pongal release.
